String Generator

Intro

Create procedurally generated strings such as dates and time, hashes, numbers and timecodes.

UI

Generator - Select the type of generator:

• Formatted Date and Time
• Formatted String
• Hash
• Hexadecimal
• Random Date
• Random Number
• Timecode Generator
• Value

Prefix - Set the characters to appear before the number.

Suffix - Set the characters to appear after the number.

String Manipulators - Connect a String Manipulator.

Example

1. Create a Text Shape
2. Click the + button on the String attribute and choose String Generator.
3. Set the Generator to Random Date.
4. With the Text Shape selected, click the Duplicator icon in the Shelf.

Each duplicated Text Shape is given a randomly generated date.
